Tamra Simpson: Author, Coach, CEO
Tamra Simpson is an independent educational consultant, writer, and researcher dedicated to storytelling and enhancing representation for underrepresented narratives. She specializes in building the capacity of focused learning teams to support educators in closing the achievement gap. With over a decade in education leadership, Tamra has extensive experience in elementary education and has served grades K-12 as an ELA Literacy Specialist. She has also worked as an elementary site administrator, supporting alternative discipline structures and restorative measures.

Through hands-on learning experiences, Tamra works side by side with students, teachers, and administrators to support them in reflecting, engaging, achieving, and discovering. She has led literacy initiatives and professional development focused on the Science of Reading and the implementation of effective instructional practices. Her focus is always on building efficient and results-driven relationships and creating customized plans of action for individuals and organizations.
Tamra is a multi-genre published author and applied linguist who promotes high-quality, accessible learning environments. Her educational research has been showcased at prestigious conferences such as AERA and NABSE. Currently, she is working on a book about leadership and intersectionality, set to be published by one of the Big 5 publishers.
Tamra earned her bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies from UC Riverside, a Master's degree in English Language Learning from Western Governors University, and an additional Master's degree in Education Administration and administrative credential from Cal State San Bernardino.
