Changing the World of Education
Tamra Simpson is an independent educational consultant who specializes in building the capacity of focused learning teams. She strives to support educators in closing the achievement gap. Through hands-on learning experiences, she works side by side with students, teachers, and administrators to support them in reflecting, engaging, achieving, and discovering. She has extensive experience in elementary and has served grades K-12 as an ELA Literacy Specialist. She has served as an elementary site administrator, supporting alternative discipline structures and restorative measures.  She has led literacy initiatives and has led professional development focused on the Science of Reading and the implementation of effective instructional practices.  From strategic planning to innovative solutions, Her focus is always on building an efficient and results-driven relationship. She will work with you to create a customized plan of action for yourself or your organization.  Tamra earned her bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies from  UC Riverside. Later in her education journey, she earned a Master's degree in English Language Learning from Western Governors University. CONSULTANT: NADIAÂ RAZI M.ED
Nadia Moshtagh Razi is an educator and lifelong learner who has devoted over a decade to equity and social justice. She has taught African American literature, high school English and AVID, and has served as 9-12 English department chair and a TK-8 Equity Coach. She has led initiatives throughout Bay Area school districts promoting equitable practices for BIPOC and LGBTQ+ students, spearheaded policy change for transgender and nonbinary students, and advised the BSU and GSA student clubs. She is a certified SEED (Seeking Educational Equity and Diversity) leader, HyperDoc expert and Google-Certified Educator, and she is a Teach Plus California Policy Fellowship alumna, publishing research and legislation on culturally affirming and antiracist school environments. She earned her M.Ed. from UC San Diego with an emphasis on equity and social justice. Through Nadia’s work developing and implementing cultural proficiency curriculum, leading professional development for educators of all positions and enacting equitable policy change at the state level, she has committed years to understanding what safe and culturally affirming spaces look and feel like.
